LOOI MING MING

​​​Ming Ming Looi is a Singapore dispute resolution lawyer specialising in construction and infrastructure disputes, international arbitration, commercial litigation, adjudication and shareholder disputes.

​

She acts as lead counsel in high-value, technically demanding disputes before the Singapore courts, arbitral tribunals and adjudicators. Her practice focuses on analysing extensive factual records, technical evidence and intricate contractual arrangements, and presenting them as clear, commercially grounded cases.

​

Ming represents project owners, contractors, and consultants in major construction and infrastructure projects on disputes involving engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contracts, project delays, defects, variations, payment claims and termination. She also handles shareholder, joint venture, commercial and real estate disputes involving sophisticated financial arrangements, corporate control issues and family-owned businesses.

 

On the advisory front, Ming advises on contract documentation, joint venture agreements and concession agreements, drawing on the practical insights gained from her dispute resolution practice.

Ming has been ranked by asialaw since 2023 as a Notable Practitioner for Construction.

Before co-founding Allyed Gateway, Ming practised in the Projects & Infrastructure Practice Group of a Big Four Singapore law firm and in a Tier 1 construction law firm.

 

Ming is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb) and an accredited Adjudicator with the Singapore Mediation Centre (SMC).

She serves on the SMC's Construction Adjudication Accreditation Committee (CAAC) and is the editor of its newsletter on developments in construction adjudication. Since 2018, she has been a member of the Building & Construction Law Sub-Committee of the Law Reform Committee, contributing to law reform and industry guidance

Ming is an Accredited Director with the Singapore Institute of Directors (SID), with training in corporate governance, directors’ duties, strategy and risk management.
